The entirety of an individual’s feeling of a product is key to how effective the said product is.

Over the years, dating back to as far as 4000BC humans have recognized the importance of ensuring that not only can we solve problems we fund in our daily lives, we can also keep improving this solutions to ensure that we get maximum satisfaction from them — an optimum user experience.

In recent years, following the coining of the term user experience, it has become more evident how important this field is to start ups and individuals. The goal of any product is to ensure that the end users actually make use of the product and keep coming back to use it. This can only be achieved with a good user experience.

What then is user experience?

In my own opinion, I’d say user experience is the entirety of the feelings, processes and actions involved when using a product.

It is what makes you want to use a product and keep using it.

A lot of people have been going into this field as a career because of how important it is.

The question then is what do UX designers do

UX designers build products using the scientifically proven design thinking approach.

Identify, Define, Empathize, Ideate, Prototype and Testing are the phases involved.

Each one of these phases has different activities and components geared towards the commonest end goal, creating an optimum user experience.

Generally, a good user experience is centred on the USER.

Never forget that
